2011 marked the arrival of Five Hole for Food on the scene. After starting things in 2010, Five Hole for Food returned bigger, better, and determined to make an even bigger impact across Canada. Adding four cities, even more passionate people, and a few more sticks, the tour started in St. John’s Newfoundland on a mission to raise over 20,000 pounds of food. From coast-to-coast, Canadians were so excited to join the cause and the trip was full of exciting moments. The team, willing and determined to play hockey any and everywhere, played hockey in Canada’s busiest intersections, in parking lots, on main roads, and even on the helipad of a ferry in the middle of the ocean and after returning home the tour was able to not only meet it’s goal but double it hauling in over 43,000 pounds of food and a new bench mark to beat!
