About the event..
In our annual coast-to-coast tour, Five Hole for Food travels from the East Coast to the West Coast playing ball hockey for local food banks.
Beginning with a simple idea, the annual tour has not strayed from our humble beginnings. To take part and join in a city near you, all you need is a hockey stick and a can of food. We’ll supply the rest.
Meet us at Sparks Street from 11:00AM to 5:00PM on July 10th and bring your donation for the Ottawa Food Bank. Let’s play hockey for food and make this our most successful tour yet.
Want to get in on the action with you and three friends? We’ll have one rink dedicated to a 4-on-4 challenge. Featuring unlimited substitutions and 30 minute games, get your team together for your preferred time slot. Email Shaylene with your team requests.
Our second rink will be dedicated to drop-in ball hockey. Equipment will be made available.
VIP game will be played with an appearance from Spartacat.
Staying around for the action?
Big prizes to be won. BBZ10, electronics, Canadian Tire Centre (formerly Scotiabank Place) tickets & more! All proceeds will head straight to the Ottawa Food Bank. We’ll also have a bake sale on-site. Yum.

Ottawa Food Bank
The Ottawa Food Bank was founded in the basement of the former police station on Waller Street in 1984. Originally intended to be temporary in nature, the Ottawa Food Bank has grown to become a staple food relief organization in the Region. Today, we support 140 emergency food programs that feed approximately 48,000 people per month – 37 per cent of whom are children.
